Chapter 10
Is It Being Done to You or for You?
âWhen you feel like youâre drowning in life, donât worryâ your Lifeguard walks on water.â
âAUTHOR UNKNOWN
Look at the title of this chapter. What does that ignite for you? I think there are people who go through life thinking everything is being done to them. They are victims. They think nothing is working for them and the world is out to get them. When you think that everything is being done for you, itâs called conscious living. Itâs all about awareness. Itâs about wondering how you can learn from what happens. How can you use it to grow, to take more responsibility for your own life?
For me, this means that if I can be conscious of whatâs happening and look for the miracle in it, the wisdom in it, then I am no longer a victim of circumstances. I am now in control. I am powerful. It might be the worst thing possible at that moment, but somehow, I can turn it around and use it for growth. How many times have you read about people who say that a serious disease or accident was the best thing that ever happened to them? That accident or disease ended up being a turning point in their lives.
I hear this often in the network marketing industry; people will ask, âWhy is my team not motivated? Why is my check the same? Why is it not growing?â No matter what your age or background, you can always overcome those victim thoughts. I have proven to myself that by changing my thoughts, I can change my body, my income, and my relationships. You can do it too if you look at it from a place of awarenessâthat true power that you possess within you. When you decide itâs hard to succeed, itâll be hard. When you decide you can do it, then you will do it.
You get to decide what you want your business to look like. And, know that it is your responsibility to generate wealth, awareness, and growth, so make the decision on what you want to create and how you want to create it along with how you want to live each day.
Based on these decisions, get to work. There are no limits. Life and network marketing are designed so that you can achieve whatever you want. You can have the lifestyle along with the freedom. If you have the inspiration along with your why deep within you, then any action that comes from that place is what will take you through any obstacle in achieving your dreams. Thatâs when everything begins to open for you. All of it comes to you because youâre taking inspired action. Fall in love with the process, even though it might not be the thing you enjoy the most. I wrapped people with our crazy wrap product in every place imaginable: abdomens, legs, arms, necks, faces, and places I donât care to mention. Back in the day, we even measured those areas to show results.
